Akron Men’s Basketball Defeats Adrian 95-41

The University of Akron men’s basketball team defeated Adrian College 95-41 and are now 6-1 on the season. Noah Robotham led the team in points with 17 and Antino Jackson pitched in 15. The junior guards made a combined six of nine shots from 3-point range.

As a team Akron shared the ball really well and had a total of 20 assists and also scored 26 points off turnovers. Akron shot well at the free throw line as they were able to make seven of eight free throws.

The bench for Akron outscored Adrian’s bench by 31 points, as they were able to score 40 much needed points. Akron also held Adrian to only 14 field goals for the entire game. Freshman guard Tavian Dunn-Martin made three of seven shots from the field, and finished with nine points and three assists.

Also, Emmanuel Olojakpoke came in for a good solid 12 minutes and produced 11 points and five rebounds. As a team Akron shot an impressive 37 of 60 (61.7%) from the court and 14 of 27 (51%) from 3-point range.

Akron will travel to Nebraska next and will face the number 10 ranked Creighton Blue Jays on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha. Both teams are on winning streaks, as Akron has won their last 6 games while Creighton is still undefeated.
