Cavs Win Two in a Row

The Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the Memphis Grizzlies tonight, and were able to get their second win of this three game home stand.

The Cavs started off the game with consistency on the offensive end as they shot 47% from the field in the first half. There were some positives regarding the Cavs defense as they didn’t allow Memphis to make any scoring runs in the first half, but there were also some negatives as the Cavs struggled to get stops against the Grizzlies as the Grizzlies shot 45% in the first half.

The second half showed most of the same, with the exception of a mini run by Memphis where they lead 93-81 early in the fourth quarter. But the Cavs were able to fight back by getting stops down the stretch and executing on the offense end.

Jordan Clarkson was big for the Cavs tonight as he scored 33 points on 12/17 shooting, including 6-8 from three. Kevin Love was also big by hitting a pair of clutch three point shots as time winded down.

After the Game Coach Beilein said that the Cavs execution on the defensive end lead to them getting scores to close out tonight’s game. The Cavs end their home stand on Monday, December 23 as they take on the Atlanta Hawks.
